Claire’s struggles with ill mental health came to a head (pardon the pun) back in 1995 when she experienced, what was then diagnosed as, severe post-natal depression. Generalised Anxiety Disorder, recurring Depressive Mood Disorder and Panic Disorder are just a few labels/diagnoses she has acquired over the last 25 years leading to vast experience within the UK's Mental Health system. Having been well for the last 5 years Claire feels passionately that people should receive the care and expertise they need BEFORE they reach crisis point. Claire now writes blogs about mental health in the hope they reach people who are struggling.
